Donations
Church of England churches are self-funding. We need to meet our running costs, plus pay a sum to the central body of the Church of England:
It is therefore important that each member of the church help meet this cost and give whatever we are able.
To donate to the ministry and upkeep of St John’s Church, there are several ways to go about this, either:
- Donate cash via the box at the back of church.
- Use the QR code at the back of church or on the information cards on the seats.
- Set up a standing order. Details available from our treasurer Linda Law.
- There is also an envelope scheme to help you budget weekly or monthly.
- If you are a taxpayer, the best way to donate is to give using a standing order and completing a gift aid form available from our treasurer. In doing so, the church is able to claim 20% tax back, which enhances the gift you have made.
